MassDevelopment has announced it will host a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the first-floor conference room at 33 Andrews Parkway, Devens, to hear comments and respond to questions on Trinity Financial’s proposal to redevelop Vicksburg Square in Devens.
Trinity plans to turn the former military housing at Vicksburg Square into 246 rental apartments, 80 percent of which would be income-restricted affordable housing. But before the project can go forward, town meetings in Harvard, Shirley, and Ayer must approve changes to the Devens Reuse Plan and the Devens By-Laws, which govern zoning in Devens.
MassDevelopment CEO Marty Jones previously released written responses to questions and comments that have been raised in the three towns in past months. Those responses can be viewed on the MassDevelopment website.
Wednesday’s meeting is open to anyone. Also, MassDevelopment says, questions and comments may be sent at any time to Ed Starzec, MassDevelopment’s Project Manager for Vicksburg Square, at estarzec@massdevelopment.com.
