The School Committee announced yesterday that three candidates have accepted nominations as finalists for the position of Interim Superintendent of Schools.
The three candidates are
- Diane G. Bemis, former Superintendent of Littleton Public Schools
- Joseph J. Connelly, Interim Superintendent of Gloucester Public Schools
- George Frost, Interim Superintendent of Ayer Public Schools
The School Committee will be hosting visits of each candidate to our schools during the afternoons of March 15 (Joseph Connelly), March 16 (George Frost), and March 17 (Diane Bemis).
Between approximately 5 p.m and 6 p.m. on each day the respective candidate will attend a public forum in the Bromfield School's library/media center. All residents are welcome to attend to meet and learn more about each candidate. The School Committee will also welcome any feedback from these forums as it deliberates on the final appointment, which is expected to be announced by March 21. The anticipated start date for the new interim superintendent is July 1, 2011.
