Rollstone Bank & Trust supports Lunenburg Skate Park project

Press release submitted by Rollstone Bank & Trust

Rollstone Bank & Trust today announced a donation of $2,500 to support the construction of the Lunenburg Skate Park, a planned and permanent, concrete, skate, scooter and BMX facility in Lunenburg, MA. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2022.

The design of the 8,000 sq. ft. facility includes a variety of obstacles and features that will cater to a wide range of disciplines and skill levels. The park will include banks, flatrails, handrails, bowls and pools, curbs and ledges, that will engage skaters, scooter rides and BMX riders to try and enhance their skills in an enclosed environment away from other public areas where they may compete with pedestrians and vehicular traffic.

“Lunenburg Skate Park will be a community asset for young people from the Town of Lunenburg and riders from across the region. We are extremely appreciative of Rollstone Bank’s support as we push towards reaching our funding goal of $225,000,” said Anthony Caiozzo, president of the Lunenburg Skate Park. “We want to provide a safe recreational resource for area youth to enjoy, that is a healthy outdoor alternative to other less desirable choices, such as video games, vaping, drinking and drug use. This funding will enable a driven group of youths to realize their goal of creating a sustainable recreational resource for their community and the entire region.”

“Supporting the Lunenburg Skate Park helps the youth of our region, so Rollstone Bank & Trust is proud to lend a hand,” said Martin F. Connors, Jr., President & CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust. “The people involved with this project, including the young adults, have done a tremendous amount of work, and we look forward to seeing their efforts come to fruition.”
