Sennott, Curtis, and Bradley are speech contest winners

Middlesex School senior Jack Sennott, son of Charlie and Julie Sennott of Bolton Road, finished first in the Harvard Lions Club speech contest Dec. 3 at the Congregational Church. He will represent Harvard in the regional Lions contest in mid-January. Second- and third-place finishers were Bromfield seniors Freddie Curtis, son of Fred and Sarah Curtis of Sheehan Road, and Olivier Bradley, son of Julien and Lisa Bradley of Mill Road.

The local contest was part of the 2020-2021 Massachusetts Lions Youth Speech Competition. The live audience was limited to the speakers and two guests each, Lions Club organizers Bill Johnson, Sue Reedich, and Russ Shappy, and Harvard Cable TV to livestream the event. Remote judges were Hildreth Elementary School principal Josh Myler, former town moderator Bob Eubank, and firefighter Robert Curran.
