The Harvard Flea Market—featuring more than 170 booths of antiques, collectibles, and miscellanea—will take place Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain date Sunday, Oct. 8) on the grounds of the Bromfield School. Admission is $3 for all adults, $1 for children ages 6 to 12, and $5 for early birds (7 to 9 a.m.) Now in its 46th year, the event offers an eclectic array of goods, including vintage jewelry and clothes, artwork, handmade crafts, glassware and china, sports memorabilia, toys, games, books, maps, Halloween costumes, oriental rugs, video games, DVDs, and more.
This year the flea market’s food court boasts Thai, Spanish, and Greek food, as well as the Harvard Lions Club’s burgers, hot dogs, sausage and peppers, and handcut fries. For more options, a quick trip to the Common will bring market-goers to the Harvard Congregational Church’s Apple Festival, featuring homemade apple pies fresh out of local ovens.
Proceeds from the flea market benefit the Harvard Schools Trust and the League of Women Voters of Harvard.
