Kevin McCallie Getty died April 7, 2026.

Kevin was born in New York City to Ronald M. Getty and Marian Joy (Stam) Getty. He lived in Byram, Connecticut, as a young child and then moved to Harvard. He attended Applewild School where he won awards for his art. He also attended Lawrence Academy and Bromfield High School, where he met Terri who would become his wife.

After high school he attended Wentworth Institute where he studied aeronautical engineering and received his associate’s degree. He worked in that field for several years. After building his own home, he decided to change careers, and he became a builder. He loved working with the big equipment and finish carpentry the most. In 2002 he and Terri and their two boys moved from Harvard to Meredith, New Hampshire, where he continued building. In 2016 he won several awards in the parade of homes.

When not working, his passions were cars and boats. Weekends were always spent on Lake Winnipesaukee, which was his happy place, with family and friends. He loved his boys and loved going to races and working on cars with them. He loved the boxers he had over the years, most recently Rocky.

After retiring in 2019, he and Terri spent lots of time traveling in their Fifth Wheel camper. Kevin’s final years were spent battling Alzheimer’s disease. In spite of that battle he was always a joker right to the end. He will be missed by his family, who is grateful for all the good years and times they had together.

Kevin was predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Terri McIntosh Getty; his stepfather, Karl Kreeb and his wife Pamela Kreeb; and his sons, John Getty, his wife Ashley and their sons, Lucas and Jacob, and Mark Getty and his wife Stephanie.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life and car and motorcycle show to be held on Saturday, June 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 29 Gilford East Drive, Gilford, New Hampshire.
