The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden Cancer Support Center is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Salamone of Needham to its Board of Trustees. Mark will serve on the Finance Committee. Mark Salamone is the Principal/CFO of Alpha Pension Group, Inc.; a retirement plan consulting firm that specializes in educating companies and nonprofits on their retirement plan options. Mark has a passion for working with plan fiduciaries using strategic data analytics to measure the success of the retirement plan and for developing action plans towards improving plan health and employee retirement outcomes. He loves to assist plan sponsors in developing initiatives designed to recruit, reward, and retain talent and is always excited to play a role in an organization’s growth strategy. Board Chair, David Martin remarked, “We look forward to benefiting from Mark’s expertise and his dedication to community service for years to come.”
The Healing Garden is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and supportive, integrative therapeutic services, programs, and classes for all those affected by cancer. Clients and caregivers come from over 165 of the towns and cities in the Commonwealth.
