‘WWI Pilgrimage to Europe’ at Fort Devens Museum

On Saturday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. the Fort Devens Museum will host amateur historian Tom Sommer. Sommer will speak about his visit to the Meuse Argonne region of France for the Centennial of the end of World War I, and to Germany and Poland to retrace his great grandfather’s steps. He will display artifacts he brought back from battlefields in France.Admission to this event is free; donations are appreciated. The Fort Devens Museum is located at 94 Jackson Road in Devens and is wheelchair accessible. It is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Fridays, and the third Saturday of each month. Visit www.fortdevensmuseum.org for more information.
