Update: According to a document issued by National Grid last night, 510 out of 2,281 customers in Harvard are without power. Power will be fully restored by midnight Friday, the document says.
Harvard Fire Chief Rick Sicard released the following statement this afternoon through the town's Connect-CTY system:
"This is an update on the power situation for the Town of Harvard. Currently the town has 356 homes without power which equates to 15.6%. Currently National Grid is dedicating all of their resources to immediate life safety calls and opening up all roads for emergency vehicles in every town throughout the state. They are projecting that both of these types of calls will be cleared by tonight. They anticipate that restoration efforts will begin tomorrow morning.
