On Sunday, June 24, the Harvard Lions Club will host the seventh annual Bare Hill Triathlon. The event, sanctioned by the USA Triathlon (USAT) organization, consists of a half-mile swim in Bare Hill Pond followed by a 10.5-mile bike ride, then a 3.2-mile run (a new course this year) to the finish line. Individuals may compete, or teams may enter with each member completing a leg of the race.
There is a $75 entry fee for individual participants and an $85 fee for relay teams. All participants must pay a $12 USAT fee if not a USAT member. More details and registration at racesonline.com/events/bare-hill-triathlon. Participants may also register Saturday, June 23, 4 to 6 p.m. or Sunday, June 24, at 6:15 a.m. before the race begins. Registration area and finish lines will be on the grounds of the Harvard Public Library. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers, both individuals and teams. All proceeds from the event will support Lions Club charities.
