Won’t you adopt me? A pup from Great Dog Rescue New England gets a hug. (Courtesy photo)
Great Dog Rescue New England (GDRNE) makes its annual visit to the Harvard Farmers Market Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon in front of Hildreth Elementary School. GDRNE is a nonprofit all-breed organization that rescues dogs and puppies and finds foster and forever homes for them. If you’ve been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, stop by to meet some available dogs and pups and learn more about fostering or adopting. More information is available at www.GDRNE.com, or email Lisa Frackiewicz at lisa.frack@gmail.com.
This Saturday is the last market day of the regular season. Stop by for fresh, locally grown produce, breads, pastries, roasted coffee, cheeses, seafood, meats, honey, jams, and more. The Farmers Market organizers thank the Harvard community for patronizing the market’s 11th season and for donating money and fresh produce to the Farm to Friend program so all our neighbors can enjoy healthy, local food.
This year the Harvard Farmers Market will hold special indoor markets Saturday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Dec. 16, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Unitarian Church Fellowship Building on Elm Street. Save those dates for your holiday shopping!
