Town Meeting is less than two weeks away, but as of today, you won’t find any mention of Harvard’s most important civic gathering of the year at the town’s official website. State law gives town leaders until this coming Saturday, March 21, to post a warrant for the meeting at three locations around town, but we thought we’d give readers a jump start on what’s coming, so we’re posting to our own website the entire warrant that was approved by the Selectmen last month on February 25.
Watch for the official print version of the Town of Harvard Town Meeting report, which will be arriving soon in your mailbox. In addition to 50 measures on which you’ll be asked to vote, the booklet includes a report on the state of Harvard’s finances, and a listing of all 81 line items that make up the fiscal year 2016 town budget. We’ll be publishing our own “in plain English” version of the warrant in our special town-wide March 27 edition.
