Following her first-place finish in the 600-meter at the Division IV Massachusetts Indoor Track Championships, Bromfield junior Mimi Narbonne returned to the Reggie Lewis Track center to run to a fourth-place finish Feb. 16, in the Massachusetts All State Championships. Her time of 1:35.81 establishes a new school record.
“I was hoping that running against the faster competition at All States I could better my personal record and I was thrilled to be able to set a school record in the race,” said Narbonne following the race.
Narbonne, with juniors Kim West and Sydney Durand and freshman Alyssa Johnson, also anchored the 4x400-meter relay team to an 11th-place finish in the meet, turning the 1,600-meter distance in 4:10.30.
As a result of finishing in the top six places in the All States meet, Narbonne qualifies to run in New England Championships on Friday, March 5.
