The Parker Charter School in Devens was all abuzz last Friday when Governor Deval Patrick visited the school and held a town-meeting-style question-and-answer session with the school’s students. Questions ranged from what the governor’s plans were for casinos to what he thought about the situation in Darfur, Sudan. Patrick spent about an hour and a half at the school meeting with school officials before his departure. 

When asked what his favorite part of being governor is, Patrick reponds, “meeting with day-to-day folks like you so I have a better understanding of what’s going on in the commonwealth.”
