It’s humbling to be reminded in Carlene Phillips’s Town Hall feature this week that residents of Harvard in the 1860s were much like those of today—part of a centuries-long continuum of residents who struggle with the pinching issues of their day, who debate, argue, vote, find solutions. And it’s affirming that the residents of the 1860s did find solutions, and so will those of the 2007s and the 2107s.
