We’ve noticed that the highway department has made some good changes in and around town center. Over the past six months, the granite sign at the public safety building was moved to the other side of the driveway, allowing drivers leaving the parking lot to see the cars coming down the hill from town center; the ankle-breaking stones that lined Still River Road at Willow Road have been replaced with a slight curb and dirt—much easier for walkers and runners to dodge traffic; and, of course, they added stop signs and a four-way stop light at our town center intersection. Now, if they would just remove the sandbagged warnings signs. . .
