2007 promises to bring many challenges to our small town, some new, some continuations from last year, or 1997, or 1987, or even 1732—275 years ago, when our town was formed. Budgets, contracts, housing, traffic, septic systems, Devens, lights, churches, schools, maintenance, garbage, communication—all will come up in news stories, all will evoke opinions, and all will continue to challenge us in the future. Our New Year’s resolution, which we do intend to keep, is to report the facts as best as we can track them down, as well as your opinions about those facts. Of course we’ll spend time on the fun stuff, too, like sports, and features, and columns by your neighbors, and who’s doing what, and photos to capture life in Harvard. We hope you’ll join us.
