Jim Dunlap may be following in family footsteps by protecting land in town—40 potentially buildable acres that will not be developed—but this legacy is his own. It’s a rare individual nowadays who will pass up the financial rewards of owning land in Harvard where land sells for a premium. We cheer his generosity and know that we will enjoy the open field and woods, as will generations to come.
