We applaud the selectmen for choosing to support the siting of Evergreen Solar’s manufacturing facility at Devens. And we extend an even bigger round of applause to the members of Harvard Local and the other solar-power advocates who turned out in numbers Tuesday evening to urge the selectmen to support Evergreen at Devens. As the planet warms at an alarming rate and the clock ticks down toward the end of the oil age, it is local folks like those at the selectmen’s meeting Tuesday night who are fueling the engines of change.
