This week, a Harvard boy was seriously injured while riding his bicycle. He was hit by a car on a road like most roads in town: scenic, bucolic, and very dangerous. We drive and walk and jog on these roads every day, and for the most part we try to be attentive. But by most accounts, this particular spot, on this particular road, was an accident waiting to happen. And now that it has, maybe something can be done to make that spot safer. But it will surely take awhile, and there are many more such spots in town, and it behooves us all to slow down, stay alert, and take care.
