Last week in this space, we lauded the New England Patriots for being the winners they are—a smart, hard-working, goal-oriented football team that has made us proud all season. They had an undeniably great 18-game run that ended last Sunday in one of the best football games ever. Then they lost, to an underdog team that played better and smarter, and clearly came out on top because they wanted to win as only an underdog can. So this week we salute the formerly underestimated Super Bowl champion New York Giants. The little team that could, did.
