Harvard’s town administrator, executive assistant, and five selectmen discussed dozens of questions at their annual strategy meeting this week, where they also evaluated their accomplishments over the past 12 months and made plans for the 2011 fiscal year.

By a narrow majority, the Devens Enterprise Commission agreed last week to reconsider the protocol approved last December to measure whether noise coming from the Evergreen Solar plant at Devens complies with DEC rules.

Boxborough police requested the assistance of Harvard police just before 5 p.m last Wednesday at the scene of a helicopter crash on Beaver Brook Road in Boxborough.

Residents in Harvard, Ayer, Bolton, Devens, and Shirley, along with those in other communities in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire, flooded their local fire departments with calls Monday, reporting the strong smell of smoke.
