Senator Jamie Eldridge is out of rehab and recovering at home, following several surgeries for injuries he suffered last month in a fall brought on by a seizure, according to a statement issued by Melissa Threadgill, communications director for Eldridge’s office. According to Neel Chaudhury, Eldridge’s chief of staff, injuries sustained by Eldridge included a fractured shoulder and several broken ribs and vertebrae.
Eldridge’s mobility is limited, said Threadgill, and he is not expected to be able to attend events or participate in normal activities at the State House for awhile, although she said he hopes to be able to start attending legislative sessions for votes soon.
Eldridge is the state senator for precincts in Middlesex and Worcester Counties, including the towns of Marlborough, Acton, Ayer, Boxborough, Hudson, Littleton, Maynard, Shirley, Stow, Sudbury, Harvard, Northborough, Southborough, and Westborough.
Threadgill noted that Eldridge’s staff is on hand to answer questions or to assist with any problems constituents may have, and can be reached at 617-722-1120, or James.Eldridge@state.ma.us.
