St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church will join together on Good Friday, March 30, to offer a Community Stations of the Cross, a devotion that follows Jesus’ path to his crucifixion. The public is invited to gather at St. Andrew’s at noon for the Good Friday liturgy. The Procession of the Cross, led by The Rev. Joyce Scherer-Hoock, Rector of St. Andrew’s and The Rev. Susan Gaeta, Pastor of Shepherd of the Valley, will leave from St. Andrew’s and move through Ayer, stopping at various points along the way to meditate on specific events from Jesus’ last day. This mini pilgrimage will end at Shepherd of the Valley’s new home at The Federated Church of Ayer.
