At 7:58 a.m., police investigated a report that several mailboxes on Park Lane had been vandalized. According to police, someone had taken several mailboxes out of the ground and switched them around. The vandal had also damaged several of the mailboxes and took the mail out of some and put it in others, police say. A similar incident was reported on Park Lane on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 6:10 a.m. Police are still investigating the incidents and no charges have been filed.
Wednesday, November 23
At 1 p.m., police responded to a mutual aid request from the Stow Police Department. At 10:37 p.m., police responded to a request for an officer at a home on Craggs Road. Police said it was a family situation and police were not required at the home.
Thursday, November 24
At 10:51 p.m., police responded to a residential burglar alarm going off at a home on West Bare Hill Road. The alarm was set off accidentally and nothing was out of order, police say.
Friday, November 25
At 3:35 p.m., a resident of Blanchard Road reported two men going door to door offering to clean up yards. According to the resident, police say, the men were driving a small black sports car with what looked like New York license plates. Police did not locate anyone or any car matching that description. At 4:54 p.m., a resident of Littleton Road told police the neighbor’s garage door was open but the neighbor was on vacation. Police investigated and report that the neighbor had returned early from vacation. At 7:45 p.m., police spoke to the drivers of two vans parked in the lot at Holy Hill conservation area. Police asked them to move along because it was after dark. At 8:17 p.m., police responded to a one-car accident on Stow Road near the I-495 underpass. According to police, the driver had side-swiped a telephone pole while trying to get out of the way for a car coming the other direction. There were no injuries and the car was towed away. Police did not issue any citations in the incident.
Saturday, November 26
At 1:40 p.m., a caller from Bolton Road asked police to help with a horse that had been down for a while and would not get up. Police reports do not specify if the horse was raised or not. At 2:17 p.m., a resident of Woodside Road told police a red car was driving up and down the road too fast. Police spoke to the driver and his father and warned him to slow down. At 5:57 p.m., police investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle on Lancaster County Road. The driver had stopped to use a cell phone, police say. At 6:17 p.m., police checked out a suspicious motor vehicle parked at the Harvard Public Library while it was closed. The driver was accessing the library’s Wi-Fi connection, police say.
Sunday, November 27
At 8:17 p.m., police checked and cleared a home on Massachusetts Avenue after a door was reported open.
Monday, November 28
At 11:33 a.m., an employee of a Harvard business came to the police station to report she was assaulted by her supervisor. According to police, the woman said her boss became angry during a meeting and grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her. The employee submitted a letter of resignation with her employer and told police she would be consulting with an attorney, police say. As of Tuesday, no charges had been filed.
