Searching with Google
In a class offered by the COA last winter, Mike Peters and Adam Miller shared their expertise using the free online services that are available to Internet users at the extremely well-known and ubiquitous web site Google. Following the huge success and popularity of that session, the COA is now offering a new class on using Google with an emphasis on search.
Google has improved its search engine in recent years by adding subtle new features to allow for faster, easier, and more accurate retrieval of information in any subject area. Join the class at the Hildreth House PC lab to learn a multitude of extremely simple, yet very practical, search tricks and techniques. Bring two or three search topics to work on in class.
The class will be doing many real-world, practical Google searches as examples. We have scheduled this course for Friday, Oct. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Call the COA office at 978-456-4120 to sign up. Class size is limited to ten.
