Annual barbecue planned
The COA Board of Directors annual barbecue for seniors will be held Sunday, July 18, at noon at Hildreth House. There is no charge for the event, but reservations are requested.
Luncheon to be prepared by Bromfield students
Bromfield graduate Clark Jacobson and Bromfield senior Tyler von Loesecke will offer a summer luncheon for seniors at Hildreth House Monday, July 12, at 12:15 p.m. Cost is $3; reservations needed by noon on Friday, July 9.
NVMC sponsors senior suppers
Nashoba Valley Medical Center sponsors a senior supper and a speaker on the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Founders Room. Cost is $5. To make a reservation, call Rosanna at 978-784-9204.
On the road with COA
Call the COA office at 978-456-4120 for more information or to sign up for trips. Anyone who cannot afford a trip can contact the office about a scholarship.
- Wednesday, July 14: Guided tour of canals in Lowell Historical Park. Lunch at Cobblestones. The group will leave Hildreth House at 9:45 a.m. Cost is $15, plus lunch.
- Friday, July 23: Trip to see Sudbury Savoyards production of On Golden Pond. Leave Hildreth House at 6:45 p.m.; return about 10:30 p.m. Cost is $20.
- Friday, July 30: Trip to Nashua, N.H. for lunch at Michael Timothy’s. The group will leave Hildreth House at 11 a.m. and return by 2 p.m. Cost is $5, plus lunch.
- Friday, Aug. 6: Boston Harbor Islands trip. Explore George’s Island. Free ranger-guided tours available. Snacks and beverages available for purchase, or bring your own. Leave Hildreth House at 8:30 a.m.; return about 5 p.m. Cost for ferry and van is $15.
- Wednesday, Aug. 11: Guided tour of the Capitol sponsored by State Rep. Jen Benson. Lunch at the 21st Amendment Restaurant, followed by tour and tasting at Sam Adams Brewery. Leave Hildreth House at 9:15 a.m. Cost is $5 for van, plus lunch.
- Monday, Aug. 30: Seafood luncheon at Atlantic Sea Grill in Acton. Leave Hildreth House at 11:30 a.m.; return by 2 p.m. Cost is $5 for van, plus lunch.
