A four-day celebration of Independence Day will take place at Old Sturbridge Village, to include the firing of a reproduction cannon and a host of other patriotic activities Saturday through Tuesday, July 1-4. Visitors may take part in a citizens’ parade, and a daily flag-raising ceremony, play 19th-century games, march with the militia, sign their “John Hancocks” on a giant copy of the Declaration of Independence, and see costumed re-enactors and musicians. For information about the festivities visit www.osv.org, or call 800-733-1830.
