Peaches are in season!
Did you know? American Indian tribes are credited with spreading the peach tree across the United States, taking seeds along with them and planting as they roved the country.
Peaches are a tasty treat with modest calories, and are a good source of potassium and vitamins A and C. They’re low sodium, with no saturated fat. Two peaches a day provide an adult with 20 percent of the daily requirements for vitamins A and C. Slice them on cereals and salads, set them alongside goat cheese, or end dinner with this low-calorie treat.
