A Tie-Dye Bonanza Wednesday, July 6, from 3 to 4 p.m. will offer all ages an opportunity to decorate their own T-shirt. Decorators should bring a T-shirt, along with rubber gloves, to this outdoor event. Volunteers are needed. The rain date is Thursday, July 7, at 3 p.m..
A Family Movie Night, for all ages, is scheduled for Thursday, July 7, at 6:30 p.m., with popcorn and water for all.
Reading to Winston the Therapy Dog at Paws and Read Wednesdays in July through Aug. 3 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. will help bolster children's reading confidence.
Two Parent's Choice Award Winners and perennial favorites, Davis Bates and Roger Tincknell, will lead Under One Sky: A Multicultural Celebration for All Ages Tuesday, July 12, from 3 to 4 p.m., with participatory stories and songs that span two continents. Ticknell will play many different musical instruments, including guitar, banjo, mandolin, balalaika, Irish bouzouki, limberjack, drums, cabasa, and spoons. Davis promises to mesmerize and enchant with his storytelling skills.
Book Gobblers, a read-along program for older kids in grades 1 through 5 (no younger children allowed!), will offer reading selections from chapter books like Just So Stories by Rudyard Kipling and poetry by favorite poets like Shel Silverstein, and will explore longer picture books for older readers like Old Cricket by Lisa Wheeler. Book Gobblers will meet Wednesdays, July 13 through Aug. 3, from 3 to 4 p.m..
Thursday, July 14, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Read to Feed for grades 1 and higher, a volunteer from Heifer International will lead games, including an egg race and egg hunt, and an interactive program about what people eat around the world and how Heifer animal donations benefit hungry people.
Trevor the Games Man promises to delight young and old from the moment he stilt-walks in to the Outdoor Games Spectacular and Ribbon Dancer Craft event Tuesday, July 19, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Trevor will be followed by the Aerial Delights Show, an up-in-the-air extravaganza of tricks and skills featuring wind whistlers, ribbon dancers, and the color-changing Chameleon Stick, a participatory show. The event will include active parachute or running games and the opportunity to make Ribbon Dancers, a classic loooong ribbon-on-a-stick toy. Trevor is a trained and certified New Games Leader and Cooperative Play Specialist and a professional stilt-walker. Weather permitting, the program will take place outdoors to a crowd of unlimited size. In the case of rain, seating will be indoors and limited; preregistration will be required.
Mike the Bubble Man will help kids of all ages learn about science and the wonder of bubbles, while having fun with his interactive show Thursday, July 28, from 3 to 4 p.m. Seating is limited.
Bagels 'n' Books reading groups will meet Mondays from 4 to 4:45 p.m. on the following schedule: third-graders, July 11, fourth-graders July 18, fifth-graders July 25, and sixth-graders Aug. 1. The children's librarian will reserve a copy of the reading selection when a child signs up for a group. New members are always welcome.
The Teen Book Group for grades 7 to 9 will meet for an hour Tuesday, July 5, at 4:30 p.m., and the library will reserve a copy of the book selection for each participant.

The Scrabble Club for All Ages will gather Thursday, July 21, and Monday, Aug. 8, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. for an afternoon of friendly Scrabble competition. All skill levels and ages are welcome.
The Lego Club for ages 5 and higher, which will meet Tuesdays, July 26 and Aug. 9, from 3 to 4:30 p.m., offers participants an opportunity to bring their own Lego bricks to build creations with other Harvard Lego fans.
