| Some spud! (Photo by Lisa Aciukewicz) |
David and Pam Durrant of East Bare Hill Road are at it again, this time earning accolades for a giant potato from their garden. (Their last entry, a Vidalia onion, was the biggest submitted yet in the Garden Game.) The spiffy spud they submitted this week measured 6¾ inches long and 9½ inches around.
The frost is nearly on the pumpkin, but if you still have any fresh-from-the garden exhibit-hall-quality veggies you’d like to show off, bring them up to our office, on the third floor of the General Store, by Monday, Oct. 12, and enter them in the Garden Game.
