Julie Lamattina, junior, Bromfield swim team, high school wind ensemble:
“I would like to see more language courses offered at Bromfield, because languages are an integral part of society, and once you know a couple more of them you can travel more and there are more opportunities open to you…I think that would be more beneficial than something like, say, physics.”
Jake Kline, eighth grade, basketball:
“If there were any more academic subjects we could have here at Bromfield, I think we should have more languages, for example, German, or Latin, different languages…for kids in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades—the middle school—instead of just more languages for kids later on in high school.”
Derek Silver, freshman, Bromfield soccer team:
“Italian, because it comes from the same roots as Spanish and French, which we already take.”
Olivia Krutz, freshman, Bromfield soccer team:
“Latin, because it’s one of the bases of English language.”
Sam Beebe, seventh grade, middle school band:
“I thought it’d be cool to have a chess club again, because I really like chess.”
Anna Fellows, junior, Bromfield field hockey team:
“I would want to take Latin because it’s the root of all the romance languages, and I think it’d be really important to have more languages.”
